Money worries - pregnant and going PT

Looking for some outside perspective here as I don’t know whether I’m being irrationally worried here.

I have a DD, a DSS and one on the way. I’m just about to go down to part time hours which will mean I’m losing 40% of my wage. When I’ve looked at budgeting, after rent and major bills are paid (electric, gas, council tax, childcare etc) as a family we will have around ) £1100 left over. This will need to pay for food, petrol, a few more bills which would total about £150 and any day to day expenses. We don’t live an expensive lifestyle and are generally quite sensible with money. Does this seem reasonable to support a DD and new baby?

I honestly believe that other peoples opinion on this is kinda irrelevant... If it's causing you worry or stress then the best thing to do is to look at why. What is it that is making you fearful? Is it that you've never had to live on that amount before or that your worried what will happen if your expenses go up etc.

There are so many different things you could do to alleviate the worry but you need to figure out what your specific worry is based around first then work from there. In going part time is that so you can be at home more? Have you looked at ways of creating an additional income to supplement your part time income? There are so many options out there is just about finding the right decision for you. 😊
