Baby doesn't like sling or ergobaby

My 11 week old really doesn't like being in either. She will sometimes nod off in sling but wakes up within 15 mins squirmy and trying to break free. The erogobaby omni is the same. I feel like she's crushed even though I don't have it tight in straps. I'm going to try wearing it higher up around my waist more.

Anyone else who've had issues? I don't want to be buggy only. It's not ideal for tube etc and I'm afraid to go far with carrier only in case she starts cracking up and I don't have anywhere to put her more comfortably.

Worth finding a sling consultant or library in your area- there are so many different types, they can find one that suits you both.

I’m an old hippy at heart and have carried my three older babies in a combination of wraps and a trusty Ergo. But my fourth is having none of it. I was lent a BabyBjorn Miracle and it’s amazing. I’d heard terrible things about Bjorns being uncomfortable for the parent and the baby but I can wear her for ages and she’s very happy (facing outwards, which again I know tends to be frowned on). But it works, she’s happy and so an I. Second the recommendation for a sling library if you can get to one, but I found one I tried to be very elitist and snobby when it came to slings, not at all what it should be. The next one I tried was much friendlier.

Mine hated any type of sling or carrier and we tried loads. I think some babies just aren't into them. He was much happier in his pram or pushchair. At 4 he's not adverse to being picked up and carried of he can convince one of us!

Maybe it's because she's a massive wriggler, she probably feels trapped.
