I need some new ideas. She's stuck on nuggets and ice lollies...

Ours are fairly repetitive. DS(4) and DD (2) mostly have a ham and cream cheese wrap or a cheese and ham sandwich, or a quesadilla (wrap with melted cheese). Served with veg sticks. Sometimes beans on toast, macaroni cheese or soup.

However DS is allergic to eggs and sesame. If he’s not there (lunch at preschool 3 days a week) then I often give DD scrambled eggs, omelettes with various veg and cheese fillings, or hummus and crackers and veg sticks.

What always goes down well is a plate of various “bits” so some cheese, a few bits of ham or chicken, some veg sticks, some crackers, some fruit. But all things they can just pick up easily and not make a huge mess

If dd hasn’t had toast for breakfast, I normally do something toast-based for her lunch (beans on toast, egg and soldiers, cheese on toast, toasted bagel with cream cheese, peanut butter and banana on toast etc...

If she has toast in the morning, I try to avoid giving her more bread, so dig out whatever I’ve got in the freezer. These are my favourite freezable lunch options for her:
Frittata muffins realfood.tesco.com/recipes/green-frittata-muffins.html and realfood.tesco.com/recipes/oven-baked-pea-ham-and-pasta-frittatas.html

Pasta with hidden vegetable sauce is always a good one www.parentingwithouttears.com/articles/annabel-karmel-hidden-vegetable-tomato-sauce

My dd is 3 and she likes a small cheese or ham sandwich/roll, some cucumber sticks , a fruit usually some raspberries/grapes .
Sometimes she has a pack quavers or a biscuit to

Mostly a sandwich if some sort

Doje · 28/07/2019 14:13

Mostly the usual stuff - sandwiches, cheese / eggs / beans on toast. Sometimes the filled pasta or tuna pasta, sometimes quiche, or leftovers if I've made something like a tart, or lasagne, or we have chicken leftover.

Eggy bread and scrambled egg are favourites with my DD.
Also a picnic lunch of sliced meat, crackers, cheese, fruit

Cheese, marmite or peanut butter/jam sandwiches or wrap, or a cheese & onion sausage roll thing with a selection of cucumber/tomatoes/grapes/satsuma/carrot/strawberries. Will add in mini sausages or babybels sometimes . Toddler v fussy, we don't get much variety!

My dd is a crap eater but I serve her variations on:

Cheese/ham wrap
Cheese/ham sandwiches
Fruit
Breadsticks
Beans on toast
Spaghetti hoops on toast
Soup and bread
Crisps
Carrot sticks

She fucking hates cucumber, will not touch pasta or egg.

Same as other here but other things we do:

Guacamole on toast.
Cachapas -which is drained tin of sweetcorn blended with tbs melted butter and few tbps cornflour. Fry like a pancake. Yummy with grated cheese and grated carrot.
Low-salt n sugar baked beans with a chunk of coconut block melted in -believe me it’s so yum, my DD loves it with toast.
Greek yoghurt with fruit chopped in.
Tsp of curry sauce from a jar fried then add a fuck ton of coconut milk and cook whatever veg/meat in it.
