Toddler keeps passing bugs onto baby from nursery

Has anyone had the same issue. My 2 year old started nursery a few months ago and has continuously been ill since she started. Some bugs are little colds and others have been more chesty bugs. Anyway every time she has a bug she passes it onto my 3 month old baby. This means he is unsettled and up most of the time in the night. Which then means I get next to no sleep. At this point I'm actually getting ill myself from the lack of sleep.

Can anyone let me know who's been in a similar situation if the bugs children get from nursery start to disappear eventually. I know it sounds silly but I'm so exhausted from poorly babies in the house.

I don't have any advice (other than lots of hand washing and antibac gel!) but sympathise. I'm not looking forward to DS2 starting nursery and being continuously ill, it's an occupational hazard I'm afraid.

Thank you for replying! I feel like it's a catch 22 as nursery is so good for her and she loves it. Plus it gives me a break. But at the same time I'm absolutely exhausted from all the bugs they're catching from it. Hopefully it gets better.

It does get better - DS is very rarely ill now, 3.5 years after starting nursery. But it took about 6 months to a year before he stopped having so many colds! Sorry, OP.

Thanks @PetrichorRain good to hear it passes. I know it's a normal thing when they start nursery but as my baby keeps catching I am literally getting no sleep the majority of the time bar an occasional week. Just can't wait for one full nights sleep lol 🤞
