How to stop bottle at bedtime

Hi all
I've a ds who is 2.5 years. He still has a bottle of milk at night to go to sleep, he settles quickly with this. Ideally would like to stop the bottle (its the only one he has all day). Any advice/tips on how to do this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

You can do it gradually, or you can do it cold turkey. With my youngest, I started by serving the bedtime bottle chilled rather than warm which made it much less enticing. Then I gradually replaced the milk with water, which they liked even less. When I finally took the bedtime bottle away, they weren’t all that crazy about it anyway, so it wasn’t a big deal.
Make sure you have a good, calming bedtime routine. A bottle at bedtime does provide a sense of comfort, so you could introduce another form of comfort, such as a stuffed toy or soft blanket as a replacement.
Some parents like to tell stories about giving away the bottles to babies in the hospital, the recycling centre, the Easter bunny, etc.
You will probably find it easiest to get all the bottles out of the house. This keeps you from offering them up if either of you is experiencing a weak moment.

Cold turkey. We just switched to cups for dts and then teeth afterwards.
