Whilst they're still plugged in and switched on?! He pulled out the plug of the vacuum cleaner this morning while I was still using it! And he's just been doing it to the computer again while I'm using it!?

Help?!

Distraction.
Distraction.
Distraction.

I found the only thing that worked was to move them away from the plug, and take them to something more interesting.
Saying "no" just made it into a game.
Calmly moving them did the trick.
It's hard work for a while, but they soon stop doing it, ime.

I used to make mine jump. When they thought i wasnt lookng id shout quite fiercely "NO!". Sounds a bit hard but i didnt want them thinking it was ok to be touching electrical sockets or just messing with the plug. It is very dangerous and an electric shock would certainly make them jump!

I have been saying no, (and laughing) which is totally the wrong thing to do I know, but I was just so surprised at him.

Anyway, he's stopped for the time being, I think he just tries to copy anything he sees me doing so I'll have to try and plug/unplug things in secret!

Put plug covers over them until he is old enought to explain the danger too.
