Alton towers with a 5 month old

We go to Alton towers every year for my DHs birthday. I am not a fan of rollercoasters, but usually go along with a few joint friends who will go on rides with him.

This year we have a 5 month old. We can either leave him with my in laws or take him with us.

Does anyone have advice on either option? I have left him with in laws for up to four hours a few times, but it would be easily 10 hours. I am breastfeeding I worry about expressing if I do not take him. Equally I have no idea how to look after him if we are stuck outside all day (suncream is only an option at 6 months...).

All advice and experiences welcome!

I took my youngest when he was 2 month old. It was a while ago but they did a parent swap for rides. Maybe find out if they do that.

If you are not a fan of roller coasters anyway, take her with you and you "hold the bags" and still enjoy everyone's company

Babies can ride on your lap on the ‘In The Night Garden’ boat ride in CBeebies land, go into Mr Bloom’s allotment and the sensory garden, and on the cable car (in pram). Lots of places to leave prams in CBeebies land. You can also visit the Sharkbait Bay Aquarium.
There are private feeding rooms in the toilets in CBeebies Land in Big Fun Show Time and next to Justin’s House Pie-o-Matic Factory.
Aside from CBeebies land, in some parts of the park it is difficult to find a good spot to feed. I fed in the burger place (which I thought was a restaurant but is actually just like a McDonald's inside).
The whole park is pushchair friendly.
