Mother-Ease: Sandy's or One Size?

Or One Life?

I thought the OL was quite 'wide' in the crotch and would be bulky on a newborn. But when I got a size 1 Sandy's I don't think there was much difference.

Baby is due in 4 weeks and will probably be around 10lb (last one was!)

I can't help thinking I'd be better off with the one size instead of having to buy bigger as baby gets older...

I quite liked the sandy's on a newborn as less fiddling required (esp good for DH), but I prefer the onesize now DS is bigger (I have only used 2nd hand motherease and popolini onesize though). My friend has been using Onelife nappies on her DD quite happily since just after she was born though.

Why not get a few of each?

CarGirl · 26/07/2007 16:13

I've got some lovely WAHM nappies (mostly a bit girlie) that are very like sandies I'm meant to be selling them for charity don't suppose you're interested are you?????

If I was going to choose either, then it would be Sandys

Cargirl, prob not if they are girlie. Not sure what baby is yet

Flame, why sandys?

I don't like motherease much in general nappy-wise (love the wraps), so if I am having one, I would prefer to have it a sized option (not a fan of one size popper styles). I like the side poppers on the Sandys too.

FlameParakeet · 26/07/2007 17:46

Not sure if I've listed them yet either

Ceolas · 26/07/2007 18:16

DH is in love with the poppers!

I just wonder if, in reality, the sized aspect really will give a better fit. As I said, the crotch width seems comparable

Think the XS would be pointless, but the size 1 seems bigger than the size 1 Tots I got from the Council.

Whaddya think?

Sandys definitely. I got some of each when ds2 was born and I have to confess to hardly using the meos at all (and they are the lovely organic sort ) once he got past a year old, as they didn't seem to fit well, were not absorbant enough without the booster and were too bulky with it in. Sandys I still use sometimes (he is 2 now) and they are still a good fit although the leg frills really annoy me now as with him running about they can work their way out of the wraps. They were excellent for that newborn hardly moving stage though (with I'd bought them in organic too now).
