Airport with baby

I just wanted to know how it works in airports with baby bottles and milk due to the 100ml liquid restriction. My little one is on full fat cows milk now but due to the time of the flight I'm wanting to have bottles for the airport. Any advice? Thank you

I would check the website of the airport you are flying from as well. Your airline might have that info in their website too.

You can only take what's required for the flight and a bit more - last time we flew we just popped to Boots after security to buy a bottle of milk!

I’ve just been abroad with baby, you’re allowed “enough milk for flight” - I think I took about 3-4 bottles with water and 4 powder pots as had to consider airport waiting time and “what if baby kicks off on plane” - they just put them in some sort of machine that tests them.

Stansted airports policy states you can take as much breast milk as you want without baby present, but enough formula for the flight/time in airport is ok as long as baby IS present. I’m not entirely sure what difference that makes.

In other news, I always thought the reason that a lot of places won’t heat up bottles for you and stuff is because of fear of scalding the baby or someone else and being a fault but was recently told by a waitress that they won’t put them in microwave in case it’s a bomb. Who knew.

They won't accept frozen breast milk though as they can't test it.

In the UK there is normally a Boots so you can buy full fat milk once through security,I took empty bottles & bought either the ready mixed formula or a carton of milk when my DD was younger

Order all baby food and nappies that you want/need for the flight and when you're waiting for your flight online to be picked up from Boots at the airport after security. This will hopefully save you some time in the security queue as you will have less liquids to be checked and perhaps save a little room in your suitcase too. Win, win! You are allowed ONE standard airport shopping bag on to your flight in addition to your hand luggage. e.g You can have hand luggage + 1 Boots bag or hand luggage + a standard bag from another airport store.
Visit Boots website and add any supplies needed into your normal online shopping basket. You can order baby milk, food, nappies, bottles, suntan lotion, makeup – basically anything they sell. When checking out, select delivery to store. Delivery is free on orders over £20. The system will ask you to search for a store, choose your airport. Be carefulthat you have selected the correct store as some airports have stores before security, as well as after security and several terminals.

I assume your baby is 12 months ish or thereabouts if they're on cows milk? Most airports have a boots so you can but some milk.

It’s fine to carry bottles of milk they just test it when going through security and give it back- I carried 4 x7oz bottles last week, no issues

BA actually gave us milk on board for our DS.We just asked nicely if we could have some . Easy Jet did too.
