Party bags

I am hoping for some inspiration!

I need to get together 30 party bags for 4/5 year olds. Ideally I don’t want to spend more than £1.50 per bag. The party is late this week so I don’t have time to hand make anything myself.

I had thought of a large bubble wand each but I’m not sure if they are more for younger children 🤷🏼‍♀️

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Balloon; a small individual chocolate bar or a lollipop; piece of cake.

No one wants plastic tat

(Ans much easier for you Smile)

How about leave the party bag and do a book lucky dip (just chuck all the books in a bag and let them put their hands in to choose - less arguments!) and a slice of cake. The works have 10 books for £10 and free next day delivery, so only £1 each. I used to do this with mine (stole the idea from a friend) and the kids loved it and parents appreciated the lack of plastic tat.

Bucket and spade set from Poundland. Might need to go to a couple of shops or you can order them in.

Touchablebubbles

stickers

Then just add a balloon or party blower and a slice of cake.

Books, nip to a discount book shop, one each plus slice of cake, perhaps a mini chocolate bar/haribo. Or puzzle book.

@heymicky I love that idea, I definitely don’t want any standard tat, it always ends up in the bin (well in our house).

@HyggeHeart I did books last year from the Book People. I didn’t want to look like a one trick pony... if I won’t then I’m very tempted to do this again as it’s was less for me to do which with a newborn I am grateful for.

@TheBrockmans I’d have never thought of that! Thank you.

Thank you too @aPengTing 👍🏼

I wouldn’t give a bucket and spade, it’s a bit shit for those children who don’t get taken to beaches (surprising number where I live).

My 5 year old thinks sweets are essential in a party bag...

I hate cake in the party bag. It always came out one sticky crumbly mess.
I like the bucket and spade idea!

ithinkimightbecrazy · 18/06/2019 12:12

Best party bag ever was a pack of wild flower seeds for the kids to sprinkle outside. and a sweetie or something

Most parks around here have sand pits and some gardens which is where most of them were used as nearest beaches are stoney but obviously depends on where you live. All I know is that they were more popular with party goers than books or general tat.
