Anyone know what this could be?

Not sure if this is the right place but here goes! ... I've just been to check on my daughter and have noticed she's covered in these little red spots! They don't look like chicken pox but they are everywhere! Head to toe! She doesn't have a high temp and is sleepy soundly. I've done the glass test and they DO disappear under pressure!

Anyone have any idea what it could be? She usually gets a viral rash each time she has a viral infection. However it looks completely different to her usual viral rash!

I will be booking GP app first thing if they are still there but in the meantime, any help would be greatly appreciated

Thankyou xx

It;s so hard to tell with rashes. Had she been under the weather a few days ago? I ask because it looks like a post-viral rash...which is where a virus shows itself after the child's been unwell.

But it also reminds me of DD's rashes when she's exposed to cheap washing powder. Have you altered your washing powder or has she had new trousers on which haven't been washed first?

It does look viral, but even dermatology has trouble diagnosing rashes!
If she has no other symptoms don’t sweat.

DD has had similar twice. Both times it was diagnosed as a general 'viral' rash by the GP. She was under the weather with both but nothing alarming.

Thankyou for your replies!

She's not been poorly for a few months now, I've only ever washed her clothes in Fairy tablets and softener, and always wash new clothes before worn - Perhaps could be the start of a viral infection somewhere! Il keep an eye on it throughout the night and will act accordingly!

As I said she always gets a viral rash, and I'm sure my GP think I'm crazy for taking her in every single time she has one, but in my opinion can never be too careful with rashes!

Thanks again everyone xx

It's so hard to distinguish types of rashes. My son broke out in a rash very to your little one but it was because I changed the laundry detergent and he's got sensitive skin.

I took her to the GP this morning and turns out this is actually a mild case of German measles! Although they can't treat it, so pleased i know know what it is!

Thanks again for all replies greatly appreciated xx
