Normal for baby to sleep this long?

So I have a baby who is now 11 weeks. She is up the majority of the day but at night she sleeps ALOT I mean not 5-6 hours, she can sleep up too 8 hours.
I've tried waking her up for her normal feeding time but she will refuse and go back to sleep, I know most parent would love to get that amount asleep at night but im just worried she's sleeping to much as I've been told baby's her age shouldn't sleep for that long?
So what I am wondering is, is this normal? Should I just leave her wake up in her own time and enjoy the extra sleep or should I keep trying to wake her up for her normal feed?

First time mum here as you can see as I have no clue at all how long she should be sleeping 😂😂

Yes, that's normal. All mine slept really well between 6 weeks and 4 months and then it went down hill again!

It's fine, unless she has weight gain issues. My DD has slept up to 10 hours in one chunk since about 8 weeks. It's actually not uncommon for very young babies to sleep well overnight - enjoy it while it lasts (we're in the four month sleep regression period at the moment and things are a bit more up and down!)

Don’t worry. Smile let her sleep! No need to wake for feeds at night. At that age DD could do 9 hours and I was breastfeeding. Then unfortunately the 4 month sleep regression hit and she could only sleep about 2 hours in a row until 10 months!

So just make the most of it but don’t worry if she suddenly starts waking up. Babies sleep goes through so many changes in the first year.

Mine was sleeping from 10pm-7am from about 5 weeks and 7pm-7am (with a dream feed) from 12 weeks. I just left her to it and she’s now almost 2 and still a great a sleeper. There’s no normal for babies, sounds like you’re lucky and have a good sleeper! (This is presuming no weight gain issues that might mean you need to wake her to feed)

So long as she is awake when she wants to be and is gaining weight just thank your lucky stars and enjoy.

Some babies do - not many - and she may change and start waking up more as she grows and needs more food (or she may not), Make the most of it.

Thanks everyone for replying! I feel better knowing that a lot of babies do this I was just worried because some things I've read online about how long baby's should sleep and I remember one of my health visitors saying don't leave her too long for feeding if she sleeps for ages (that's was weeks ago) she's a healthy weight and very healthy baby

Just going to enjoy the extra sleep while it lasts!

And I've heard a lot about the regression stage not looking forward to it so will need to make the most of the rest I get now I take it 😂

Sleeping that long is fine (jealous)! If you're worried about food intake, you could try a dream feed halfway through though, or when you go to bed (if you dont go at the same time).
