Sleepyhead and Angelcare Sensor Pad

Has anyone used an Angelcare Sensor Par successfully with a sleepyhead?

With DC1 we used the sleepyhead in his cotbed and had the Angelcare AC1100 Sensor Pad underneath the mattress and it all worked fine with no false alarms.

DC2 has just arrived and we have tried the same setup but we are continually getting false alarms where the sensor isn't detecting her movement (even after increasing sensitivity to 5).

I know the official line is that the sensor pads are not designed to work with sleepyheads, but we used it for about 7/8 months with our son with absolutely no trouble. He was very poorly for a little while with meningitis and we really appreciated the peace of mind the sensor pad offered us. I don't know why it isn't working with the same setup with DC2.

Those of you who are using it such a combo, how do you have it setup? Do you have the sensor in the middle of the cot, or underneath where the sleepyhead is sitting (e.g. if sleepyhead is at one end of cot)? Do you place the sensor pad under the mattress or under the sleepyhead?

Many thanks

Try changing the battery in the nursery unit and the pad I get false alarms when the batteries have run out.

Thanks, but our nursery unit is mains powered so it can take be that. We’ve already replaced the batteries in the parent unit too.
