Could a hairdresser tidy it up?

Lost5stone · 08/06/2019 09:09

Yes a hair dresser tidy up. It'll grow quickly though don't worry. My DDs hair grew rapidly after the first cut

i don't think there is much a hairdresser can do her fringe is so short up her forehead 😩

You might be surprised at what a hairdr series can do to make it look acceptable. DD hacked her own hair at 3 and ended up with a fabulous graduated bob once the hairdresser fixed it :)

SoupDragon · 08/06/2019 09:47

Obviously she can't make it longer but it can probably look better.

ok.. trouble is shes 16 months and can't sit still for 2 seconds lol

If you don't want to take her to the hairdressers to see if they can do anything then just buy hair bands and pull it back or clip it up until it's long enough again.

Find a local mobile hairdresser to come to your house, put your DC’s favourite cartoon on, sit DC on your lap and feed them chocolate buttons whilst the hairdresser fixes it as best as she is able.

FurrySlipperBoots · 08/06/2019 11:32

Have a mobile hairdresser come when your little one is napping, if she's a deep sleeper? Might not look great but will probably improve things.

I would be so massively pissed off with my mum if I was in your shoes. It's not her place to cut your child's hair without your say so!

My toddler once had a bad fringe cut from the hairdresser. Really uneven and short. All I could do was clip it out of the way until it grew longer. Then the same hairdresser saw her next time and said "oh dear, has Mummy been cutting your fringe?" as she noticed how uneven it was. No, that would have been you!! (I did tell her as much, too. No way was I getting the blame for that!Grin) Luckily it was a one off and there were no more bad hair cuts. Grew the fringe out though just in case! So definitely clips or hair bands. You can also get some coloirful bandana type things if she'll keep it on.
