Night potty training

Hello. I'm in the middle of potty training my 2 year old DD she's taken to it really well and only had 2 accidents today.
Would like some tips on training her in the nights if anyone has any advice please?

Don't try and train the nights, just wait til you notice she's dry in the morning, or she says she wants to stop wearing a nappy at night.

Night time dryness is caused by hormone production and can’t be taught. Just wait until her nappies are dry for a month and then stop using them.

@Desmondo2016 what do you do then when they decide they don't want to wear a nappy at night but aren't dry?! My ds pulls his nappy off at night. Short of duct taping it on don't know what to do! He is no where near dry at night. Doesn't matter that we wee before bed, when we go to bed and in middle of night I wake him too. Still wet bed by pulling soggy nappy off and weeing in cot (riot when we took bars off). He's 2.3 and dry (ish) during day.

In his case it's not a sign he's ready then lol. I just followed my kids lead and they only went off the nappy at night when they were able to be dry so the timing was obviously connected somehow!

Incidentally they would still be wet when they used a pull up at night (for sleepovers at grandma's initially) but dry if they didn't.

I think I would leave them a bit longer to see if they get dry themselves. Some suggest waking him through the night to use the potty/toilet, but too me, I think our DS is still on the young side so will leave him to see if he dies it himself 1st

I am training my DS currently and he has started to have a good run of being dry at night, but I will continue to use nappies /pull ups until we have a longer run at dryness. He does get upset when the nappy is going on and if he shouts wee wee we get him out of his bed to use the toilet.

Good luck chocolatelover9 it's so hard to know what to do for the best 😀

Thank you so much for all your replies. Really helped and they all make sence. Definitely going to wait to see if she is dry the morning after and go from there 😊 x
