Anyone composting in a wormery?

Which brand do you use and how long roughly do they take to compost?
Both my girls, 9 month and 3.5 year use washables (eldest just at night). But I need a ‘disposable’ fall back for the rare occasion they stay with their grandparents / emergencies when I haven’t managed to wash them. At the moment I have an emergency pack of Aldi nappies but id rather use compostable ones if possible. My compost bin is very warm, full of worms and pretty efficient so I think if I get the right brand I should be okay putting the odd one in.
Interested to know what brand people have tried composting at home?
Thankyou!

I think worms are quite fussy about what they eat - I know people compost some types of nappies in a regular composter - the advice seems to be that you can put the whole thing in (if just wee) and then some plastic will come out at the end.

Following... everything I have tried to compost in my hot bin that is supposedly ‘biodegradable’ has failed except food (potato starch magazine bags, biodegradable wipes). I’m pretty sure it would take decades and is only marginally better than plain disposables. Watching with interest though!

The compostable bags need a good deal of chopping up. We get a few bits left but not many.
Paper and card vanish in our hot bin as do things like the starch based packing peanuts.
We will let you know in a couple of months if mice and birds break down.

I have a square one from worm city which Ive been using for about 3 years.
The nappies took quite a while to compost down (6 weeks i think) but the worms sort of made them their home.

We ended up putting the nappies in the compost bin and using the wormery for food waste which was far better

Wiggywog do they compost down okay? What brand do you use and how many/often did you put in?

I think you may have more success with compostable inserts ( for example gnappy biodegradable inserts) rather than something like Naty or kit & kin. www.madeformums.com/reviews/do-biodegradable-nappies-biodegrade/
