Baby swimming for first time?

Baby is 8 months and thinking of going swimming for first time with me and her dad. Feeling a bit nervous about the changing rooms and getting her organised before a d after! I'll take her in with me and was thinking of putting swim nappy on before we leave with swim suit under vest etc. And with my swim suit on too.
But in the changing rooms do they have a room for babies specifically so I have somewhere to put her down? What's the best way to do it when we get out also?
Sorry this might sound stupid! The things that worry first time mums!

Depends on the swimming pool- the one I preferred to use had a family changing room and I was able to leave the buggy in there, and the baby strapped in whilst I got ready. The other pool I used wouldn’t allow buggies into the changing rooms- both pools though did have a baby pull down table in the cubicles, easy to lay the baby down and change them. Best advice
Is have your swimsuit on before you go, and have the change ready for the locker.

Don't put the swim nappy on at home. They don't absorb water so if your LO goes, it'll not be fun!

I get ready at home and get my LO ready at the pool. Our local has a big family changing room that we use (three of us). Afterwards one of us gets out a couple of mins earlier to shower and then comes to get baby. That person starts drying and dressing baby while the other showers and dresses then takes over. Works well for us. I've seen others wait until one parent is full dried and dressed before coming to the shower to get the LO.

Have fun!

Don't put swim nappy on they don't absorb water.

Every swimming pool is different so maybe go first to see what changing facilities are like. Our swimming pool has cubicles with baby changing tables in.

You're overthinking it, its no different really to getting baby dressed at home.

Take a towel to the side of the pool to wrap her in as soon as you get out.

First time you'll probably only get about 10/15mins in the pool max.

I just change us both at pool. Carry her in with swimming bag so no faffing with buggy. Put her on the table in the changing room, I change, then I change her. Dump bag in locker and go out to pool.
On return, we shower together. I obviously can't put her down in the shower so we just use water, skip the shampoo etc. I find it much easier to just keep my hair dry (mine is bum length though so takes a while to wash and dry). I always dry and dress her first while I stand in my wet swimsuit so she doesn't get cold. Then she sits on the table again while I dress.
Different pools have different facilities - one has high chairs, others have changing tables or those seats where you strap them to the wall. If there was actually nothing I'd just put her on a spare towel on the floor.

Oh just seen you have husband there - if he comes he brings a separate bag and changes himself while I do daughter on the way in then I might shower after.
We always go to the cafe for lunch before going home, swimming seems to make them really tired and hungry.
