Feeling empty...I have zero emotions

So basically I had my implant fitted just over a year ago after my son was born and was wondering if anyone experienced just feeling zero emotions on it or if it's anything else?! I just feel very...well flat. I feel no happiness no sadness no sympathy or empathy just nothing... I don't feel depressed or anything , i don't know why I feel this way, I have to really REALLY try and force myself to feel any emotion at all. I have also experienced crushing tiredness, as in slurring my words, feeling like I'm on another planet, muddling sentences . I thought it was just because having a new born is tiring but he's just the easiest baby and after 10hrs of sleep at night I only feel like I've had 2 hours sleep?! I'm going to have to have it taken out aren't I...

I would look to have your bloods done just to check that you aren't feeling unwell due to an obvious (unrelated) physical issue. What you are describing does sound very much like depression. Depression isn't just feeling sad, it's often just feeling nothing, which can come along with tireness and other physical complaints. But there can also be very clear physical reasons for you to feel like that, that may have nothing to do with being depressed or your implant.

I felt much like you are describing when I had postnatal depression, but I also have felt like it again recently (coupled with crushing fatigue and joint pain), and it turns out I have a vitamin D deficiency! Anaemia could also be a culprit if you are still in the postnatal period. Many find their iron levels don't quite bounce back after birth, even if they are high enough to not cause obvious anaemia symptoms, like palpitations, dizziness, etc. I would see your GP and just ask them to generally check out that it isn't something else.

Agree with everything mindutopia says above. It sounds like depression. When you get bloods done at Docs ask specifically for vitamin D test as they aren't standard. I had that 'no emotions' thing for ages and it was caused by a vit D deficiency. When that was treated I was right as rain. Had it again more recently and it turned out to be a menopause side effect. Started HRT and it disappeared again.
