Foundation Degrees, whats the next level?

I have a place on a distance learning foundation degree course [gulp] with workshops and all that malarky.

What I was wondering, how much more do I have to do to get a full degree. If I decide not to continue in the topic my foundation degree is it (I take it there are further courses at my chosen Uni), I take it I can't flounce into a 3rd or 4th year of an ongoing degree course so wondered how I top it up, is OU the only way or will I have to stick to my chosen path.

Some universities do a top up year plus a bridging module for FDA students. If they run FDAs then they usually have these courses. You are right that you will need to pick a course that is relevant to your current course, you may be able to get credit points for some modules if they are fairly generic - this MAY fasttrack you but nothing is guaranteed.

Thanks, I didn't realise it was as high up I thought I would still have to do at least another 2 years on top to get a full degree.

Oh getting quite excited as it is a topic I am really interested in and have lots of experience in but up till now no qualifications [gulp] again
