For a medical NON emergency?
Sorry for the stupid question but my 1 week old is showing signs of an issue that isn't making her ill, think along the lines of sight or hearing problems but as I'm obviously not a doctor I want this looked at asap and not wait until the next midwife appointment. My midwife has said until she's one month we can contact her, triage or maternity for any problems but she hasn't answered the phone and I'm not sure if the others are more for "serious" issues or baby emergencies?
Hope that makes sense, Tia.

Gp. Take her to the doctor. Doctors can deal with it by referring you to the correct specialist.

I would make an appointment with your GP (you’ll need to register her when you go, or perhaps before for them to make the appointment). Or speak to your midwife or HV who should still be doing regular home visits at only 1 week. These are the sorts of things they should be picking up in their initial assessments with her anyway. Personally, I would raise it with both/whoever can see you more urgently.

I'd wait for the midwife to get back to you if it's not urgent. She's probably very busy and it's been the weekend.

Given it's not urgent, id just wait for the midwife to get back to you. Or you should be seeing your health visitor in a few days?

Okay thank you all

Maternity ward or triage is fine. For a proper emergency you'd call 999.
