DD is 2 in a few weeks and I have no idea what to get her!
Does anyone have any ideas?!
Thanks!

Firstly, does she need toys? You don't have to buy 'stuff' if she doesn't need it. You're setting the tone now of what birthdays are and it doesn't have to be a massive pile of presents.

You could buy an annual pass to a local attraction or a few special days out.

Presents:

Books
Box of balloons (blown up obviously!)
Football
Bubbles (and bubble machine or gun or similar)
Playdoh and tools
Bucket and spade (and sandpit?)
Train track
Duplo
Happyland
Dolly and buggy
Dinosaurs
Toy kitchen and/or toy food
Shop playset
Doctors kit
Dressing up clothes (standard sets, but also just fill a box with different hats/bags/scarves/shoes)
Trucks/cars either small matchbox type ones or big ones for the garden/sandpit
Scooter
Balance bike.

We've bought DS a splash table thing for the garden as apparently he loves the one at the childminder's. He's 2 next month.

DD's presents included a sandpit and a balance bike as well as a few 'pretend' type toys with people etc. She doesn't have a play kitchen but think she would also have enjoyed that. Books or jigsaws always go down well with her if you already have lots of 'big' stuff and don't want to add to it! Even clothes if they have a design that she would like (if she needs any). They don't really understand at 2 so don't feel you have to spend a certain amount, she'll just be excited to open anything!

Melamine dinner set
Toy box
Dolls house
Pop up play tent or a playhouse/ Wendy house
Swing that ‘grows’ as she gets older
Trike
Interactive soft toy such as ClubPetz Betsy the rabbit

Now the weather seems to be getting nicer, and summer is approaching, I would maybe go for some outdoor toys. Slide, swing, toddler bike, little sit in car, etc.. (unless you already have these).

Activity desk where they can use a chalk board, crayons, or do drawings, or can use interactive skills. (V-tech touch and learn is a good example).
