What shops do small 6-9 month clothes?

Or big 3-6 month ones?

My DD no longer fits in her 3-6 months ones but the 6-9 month ones we have just look ridiculously large. I figure it’s probably like all the previous sizes where different shops have different ideas about how big a 6-9 month baby is, so can anyone recommend one that doesn’t think 6-9 month babies are giants please?

TIA

Primark, my baby was too fat practically at birth for their leggings!

Foxmuffin · 08/05/2019 20:44

What brand are the small 3-6? Surely you can go there?

louella99 · 08/05/2019 20:45

Big 3-6 month - Sainsbury's

H&M do a 4-6 month size and tend to be slim fitting so that might work?

Asda were always the first ones my DC grew out of. Even now they're older it's the same. I do think they shrink a bit.

Alternatively, if you want more time out of things, next had quite big sizes.

HelpAFattieOutHere · 08/05/2019 20:47

M&S and Mothercare are the ones we always grow out of last

Whymustyoubringinthebirds · 08/05/2019 20:48

I agree that asda and primark are the smallest that I've come across

HopeAndJoy16 · 08/05/2019 20:51

John lewis came up small for ny DD but she was short and wide, if that makes a difference?

Vintagegoth · 08/05/2019 20:52

If you were looking for smarter outfits JoJo Maman Bebe come up very small.

MrsMaow · 08/05/2019 20:52

Some of the small 3-6 are Asda which is weird because the massive 6-9 months are also Asda. I think I need them to do a size 4.5-7.5 month which would probably be perfect!

I shall try primark, thanks

For us M&S came up big and boots came up small.

PackingSoap · 08/05/2019 20:56

Are you sure your 3 to 6 month clothes haven't shrunk?

I had a real time with this with dd and it mangled my head until I found an unused baby grow from a multipack and realised it was two inches longer than the ones I'd washed.

PackingSoap · 08/05/2019 20:57

Supermarket baby clothes were terrible for shrinkage, I found, as was TK Maxx. M&S weren't so bad.

SoyDora · 08/05/2019 21:00

Boots. Bought DS (4 months) an outfit in 3-6 the other day and it’s too small. Bought him a jacket in 6-9 and it fits perfectly.

DrWhy · 08/05/2019 21:02

I agree with a PP, put some of your 6-9 through the washing machine and tumble dryer once or twice before deciding you need smaller ones!

ThisMustBeMyDream · 08/05/2019 21:06

M&S and Boots both have smaller clothing. I have a 6 and 3 year old and consistently through their lives all the stuff from there I have needed the next size up in, and they always grow out their stuff first.

MrsMaow · 08/05/2019 21:17

It didn’t even occur to me that they might have shrunk but yes they probably have, she’s definitely grown too but maybe not as much as I thought. I will put a couple of the 6-9 month ones in the tumble dryer and probably pay a visit to primark too

Thanks for the input everyone x

I find Tesco come up smallish and next are on the bigger size. a good inch or two difference between two brand new plain vests of same size

HelpAFattieOutHere · 08/05/2019 21:35

Asda are my favourite for my baby as they fit him best proportion wise, but they do shrink a bit of tumble dried. As do Next.

coffeeaddiction · 08/05/2019 21:38

Always find Sainsbury's comes up big and primark/Tescos comes up small

Tolleshunt · 08/05/2019 21:40

Zara come up fairly small/slim

Charlottejade89 · 09/05/2019 10:01

I have the same problem, 3-6 is too small but alot of 6-9 is huge on my dd even though shes almost 10 months. Primark is the smallest and next the biggest out of the places I've shopped for her
