Toddler is a very fussy eater

DD is 23 months and is such a fussy eater. She has never accepted food from a spoon (all my purées got chucked and we ended up going straight into BLW) and she’s still mega fussy about food.
Breakfast today is a typical example - will usually devour a bowl of chopped up strawberries and blueberries, but generally ignores any toast/crumpet/cereal/boiled eggs. Even when I make pancakes they get ignored!!!! She will ask for ham and can eat 2 or 3 slices of it.
I feel a bit weird her having ham and fruit for breakfast every morning.
I’ve made those apple and carrot breakfast muffins, also ignored.
Lunch is usually similar and is a variety of picnic food and fruit, and dinner is variable - sometimes she can be persuaded to try a bit but often she will have a tiny bite and then have a yoghurt and MORE fruit.
She rejects pasta every time I give it to her, and doesn’t seem to like anything wet like Bolognaise.
She can use a spoon and fork.
She is still breastfed and would be on the boob all day if I let her, so she’s obviously topping herself up with milk.
Just don’t know how to get her to eat more! Any suggestions welcome! Thanks!

Sorry I should also add - other favourite foods other than fruit and ham are houmous and breadsticks, carrot sticks, chicken gougons, and obviously loves anything like Pom Bears or biscuits

That sounds like a fairly Typical two year old. Certainly wouldn’t class it as excessively fussy.

Just go with the flow. Don’t make it a battle of wills. Offer what she likes occasionally add a new one but don’t worry if it’s not eaten

She sounds exactly like my dd. She started off eating brilliantly and now has basically the exact same diet as yours! It drives me potty.

Thing is she eats everything at nursery, so I know she’s not typically fussy, I think it’s 2 year old exerting her choices.

I’ve recently (in the last 2 weeks) stopped breastfeeding and that hasn’t made a jot of difference.

I’m trying not to make mealtimes a battle, so I’ll give dd whatever to eat and if she doesn’t I don’t comment on the food at all. Just take it away. I don’t offer anything else so she’s knows that’s it. She lives on fresh air when not at nursery! So no help basically, but know exactly what you’re going through.

Hang in there. My almost three year old was the fussiest eater ever, lived on cereal and fruit refused to try anything cooked. I was going mad worrying, the last month or so she’s turned a massive corner and is eating pretty much anything I offer!!

We tried everything and eventually at dinner a couple of times said, if you don’t want it that’s fine but there is nothing else. We had tears and tantrums but she gave in, started eating and not had a problem since. Try not to give alternatives, others say don’t do this but I always praise my dd when she has a good go, I tell her I’m pleased with her and makes me happy to see her enjoying her food - it’s working for us
