What to do about hives?

Yesterday took DD 22 months to the playground in the morning and the farm in the afternoon. Since then she’s had a few red blotches on her face and fingers, they look like heat bumps if you know what I mean?
Probably being completely neurotic (as usual Blush) but does this sound like she could be allergic to something? Do I need to do anything about this ie take her to the doctor? We’ve been to the farm a few times before and visit the playground every 5mins so not sure what it is that’s irritated her?

Sorry should also say she hasn’t eaten anything different or used any different toiletries etc

it couldn't hurt to just ask the doctor for advice

My ds1 was like this for about 6 mths between 12 and 18 mths.
Took him to gp and was prescribed something, can't remember what, but it was cream and did the trick

Yes probably an allergic reaction. Maybe she touched an animal, or the hay or food?

I’d probably give some Benadryl and keep an eye out to check it got better and not worse. But then my kids (and I) have lots of allergies so I’m used to the drill and there’s not much the doctor can or will do.

Just make sure you wash hands after being near the animals or playing in the park

Thanks a lot for your replies, I took her to the doctor yesterday as aside from the hives, she hadn’t wet her nappy overnight and when I put her to bed she had quite an alarming sounding cough (not sure how to describe it, not wheezy, quite phlegmy) but it sounded alarming enough for me to jump up and check she was ok.
The doctor said her chest was clear and said it was probably something viral and suggested I get some infant Piriton if she has any more hives.
Thanks again for your replies!
