My 13 week old DD feels a bit hot and has a temperature of 37.2. No other symptoms. Is this considered high? Do I need to do something about it?

No. Normal

I’m a children’s nurse. That is a normal temperature. Are there any other symptoms that are worrying you?

Oops just seen you said no other symptoms, in that case absolutely nothing concerning

That’s a normal temperature.

Thank you I thought it had to be less than 37. She does have a few little red spots on her leg which go away when pressed - pic attached

She may just be a little warm due to the warm weather. Is the back of her neck sweaty? If so, maybe just remove a layer of clothing / blankets until she feels cooler.

36.5 to 37.5 is normal temperature range. What type of thermometer are you using? Can you test it on yourself to check it's working properly?

Maybe just keep an eye on the spots. Baby skin is very sensitive and prone to irritation and little heat rashes etc. though.

If you are worried, I'm sure your GP will be happy to check her over as she's so tiny.

She's having a nap but I haven't got a blanket over her. Thanks for the reassurance on the temperature. It's a braun in ear thermometer I'm using.
