Hi All,

I have been struggling with this for a while now and I feel that I have tried most things so now I am at the end of my tether and I need help.

My daughter is going to be 9 in June and she keeps having these bed wetting accidents. She will get up and wash her underwear or just put it in the laundry bag and I don't find out until days later.

I have stopped food and drinks up to an hour and a half before she sleeps, I have woken her up during the night to go toilet and I have tried to calmly have a conversation w/ her to find out what's wrong.

I don't know what to do anymore! Please help this stressed mama! 😩

Is this a new thing? Could it be a uti, worms or sexual abuse? Sorry to suggest something scary.

Look on the Eric website.

Is it definitely only happening at night or could it be stress incontinence/weak pelvic floor and is happening during the day eg if she's laughing/coughing etc?

At nearly 9 this is not uncommon but there are certainly things that can be done. Have you had a chat with your GP/practice nurse about it? They will be able to outrule a medical cause (e.g. UTI, diabetes if this is something recent) and, if not, to suggest some things that may help (bedwetting alarms, medication).

@99calmbeforethestorm - no this isn't the first time. It's been on going for a while but she have one or two accidents then none for months then a week of accidents. It's not scary, I have to be aware of these things I guess.

@Nix32 - yeah, it's only during the night. During the day she is fine.

@Cel982 - thank you. I am a bit weary about an alarm because it only goes off once they start urinating right?
