would you tell someone else's child off?

if they were picking on your child and encouraging others to do the same and their parent didn't say anything?

Yes I would if they deserved and have done on numerous occassions.

OH yes.

It's house rules round here. No guest is allowed to do what DDs are not (eg jump on furniture etc). I have (kindly) pointed out to other children that they aren't allowed to do this round here, whatever the rules at their house. I would not put someone else's child on time out round here though. As DD1 is only 2, they tend to have parents here anyway sp generally no need.

Out = more tricky to gauge, but generally if I can't remove my own children from the fray, then I would tell off. Think I would have told off in your situation wannabe.
