Stress poo in bed - what do I do?

DD is approaching one, and we have in the last month started sleep training (again) for both night-time and naps.

It's going ok-ish, except she stress poos! I know this sounds ridiculous but if she wakes up and cries and we don't go get her, she will often do a poo. We then don't discover the poo until it's morning or until she's done with the nap. The poos are solid as she's now eating quite well, so perhaps don't bother her too much, but I feel dreadful that it happens as it still can't be pleasant for her.

She never used to poo in bed. Now most of her poos are in bed. Why is this happening? Anyone else's baby does this? How can I get her to not? We use reusable nappies, but not sure that's relevant here.

Thanks in advance!

I don't know about stress poos but I did note mine went through phases for toilet habits in the early years - sometimes they'd have a few weeks of soaking through nappies, sometimes a few weeks of pooing regularly in the night. I think it might be a random thing rather than stress related and she'll just stop doing it soon. Good luck with the sleeping!

Are you sure she isn't waking because she's done a poo?

Thanks @Echobelly maybe it's a phase... it's just weird that it coincided with sleep training!

@Dvg I feel like it's after waking, as she likes to hold her hands together when she poos and I can see that happening on the monitor sometimes. The waking between sleep cycles also predates the poos.
