Does anyone use public transport with 5 or 6 children to go places to visit ect. How is it? I usually walk to local supermarket with them and get tram my mums but I mean places like parks, zoos ect. When I was with their dad he drove us places as we had 5 kids ( I am expecting no 6) but he's leaving me due to him not wanting it. Anyway he keeps saying my life will be hard getting about with the kids and gloats about how much we won't do anything. But I'm trying to think positive and would like some positive stories on how other big families who don't drive get around. Thanks

Is there an option of you learning to drive? Can you claim the car in the separation? Why should he get it......

The last bus journey I made spurred me on to drive.
Newborn ds crying, other 5 dc sat nicely.
Nasty well know local woman shouts that I should have kept my f - ing legs shut!! I got off the bus a few stops before mine I was so embarrassed.
Passed while pregnant with number 7!!

Im sorry, I have no experience to share. I just wanted to say Your H is a complete wanker and you're well rid. It's disgusting, how some parents use their own DC to score points against their Ex. I'm sure you will find a way. Flowers

Hiya
Thanks everyone
@Chocolateisfab that's disgusting ! Why do people have to be so horrible! But it's fab that you managed to learn to drive. What car do you have?

The ex has a 7 seater, and it's in his name as it's financed and insurance in his name etc. If he was a decent man ( which is isn't) and we stayed together anyway I'm not sure what car we would have to change to. But I suppose I could manage with a 7 seater on my own as my 13 year old could go in passenger seat couldn't she? Actually not a bad idea when I think about it

If the eldest is 13, I assume there is probably another 'older' child. they should be capable of helping get the younger ones off and on transport, and helping to carry stuff. If you have a decent pushchair, you can carry a lot of stuff that way too. I think it should be perfectly doable.
