still waiting for one from ds2!

collisionfrances · 11/07/2007 21:41

DS2 (2.5) sat beautifully in his pushchair today eating SKIPS while I tried clothes on and said, (he is very articulate!)

'Dont worry mummy, I wont run out of the shop and up the exxxalater today like I did last time!!!!!'

Very funny!

(Last week when I was in my bra and knickers he scarpered out of the shop, up the escalator and across into TopShop!! A security guard was watching and grabbed him!)

Dottydot · 11/07/2007 21:43

Mine both sat in the front room and got a game out (greedy gorilla) and Played Nicely together - without any prompting. Never thought I'd see the day.

Both brought home glowing reports from school.
Phew......

saadia · 11/07/2007 21:45

Dss were given Vimto lollies at a cafe last week. Today they remembered they were in my bag so I said they could have them after dinner.

Both of them were overcome by how delicious they were and, without any prompting, ds1 (5) offered me a taste.

cornsilk · 11/07/2007 21:46

Actually ds2 got an excellent report today!

ELF1981 · 11/07/2007 21:47

My 21 month old let me spend an hour cleaning our bathroom, bedroom and her room, playing with her toys while I was getting on with it, then she came downstairs and ate all her tea while I tidied up downstairs (we had a house viewer).
Plus she was a little cutie pie when the arrived to see the house at her bedtime, bless her.

stressteddy · 11/07/2007 21:47

No one specific thing today but my ds has been such good company. He is a delight when he is on form. V helpful and v characterful(I must re read this post when he is being a little bugger!!)

meeshy · 11/07/2007 21:47

My dh works away a lot so invariably I am the one rushing back from work to get ds1 2 and 3 bathed and in bed whilst taking off my work stuff, sorting out school bags, starting the tea etc ie lots of opportunity to go wrong !

Tonight they were delightful in the bath with ds1 telling me all about his school trip, then ds3 went to bed really nicely saying all the time 'no more crying now mummy' followed by goodnight story for the other 2 followed by glass of wine for me !

Can i feel smug just once as it usually is an unmitigated disaster !

FrayedKnot · 11/07/2007 21:48

Ds told me to get into bed and have a sleep because I looked tired. he "read" me a story too.

Last time he did that I was allowed to "sleep" for 20 minutes while he played nicely downstairs

Today it lasted about 5 minutes, but still

mad4girls · 11/07/2007 22:13

both dd's played nicely in the bath WITHOUT drowning each other or the bathroom (there 7 and almost 5 BTW and i am within ear shot normally sorting out next days clothes)

have banned baths together for a while as the floor ends up wetter than them but they promised not soak the place and kept there promise

Sixer · 11/07/2007 22:15

They managed to make a 5 min walk from school take 9. Instead of 25min. Yeaaahhhhhh. Treat was an hour at the seafront park.

flossie64 · 11/07/2007 22:15

After playing out she came in on time and put her scooter away in the garage and locked it up .Might I add she is only 4

PavlovtheCat · 11/07/2007 22:16
  1. Go to sleep immediately
2. Give me higs on command 3. Not bite me 4. Did not poo in bath 5. Waved hello and goodbye

She is 12 months old!

MrsScavo · 11/07/2007 22:17

DS1 mopped the kitchen floor! He has a house work thing going on. Yesterday it was cleaning the insides of the windows. - He's 8

funnypeevesculiar · 11/07/2007 22:20

dd & ds behaved beautifuuly on a train up to town & back - sat nicely, smiled at stangers and waved goodbye to everyone

krispie · 11/07/2007 22:21

dd (8 months) was sick on herself and the carpet so i carried her out of the room to change her. when i came back in with fresh clothes, ds (age 4), was wiping the sick up with a wet wipe. how sweet? could have cried!!!!

barbamama · 11/07/2007 22:23

went straight up to bed without usual fuss when we got in at bed time after supermarket trip - bribed with a new car but still was very pleasant.

boo64 · 11/07/2007 22:28

Maybe I should start a what was the worst thing your dc did today thread ready for tomorrow - with my dsI find a good day is often followed by a bad one!

On a potty training theme ds(2.3) is on his 2nd day of wearing pants. I went out to the garden to hang out the washing having forgotten to ask him if he wanted to go on the potty. Could hear him shouting for me in the house and went in sighing, expecting wet trousers, but he presented me with a potty full of wee!! He had gone upstairs to collect his potty and taken off his trousers and pants without help. Shame he dropped said full potty just as he presented it to me.
So very proud of him though.

controlfreakyflitwick · 11/07/2007 22:46

ds2 (8) made meringues on his own with only a smidgen of help.... and no mess. brilliant.

zookeeper · 11/07/2007 22:49

same hear my dd (2.7) did her first poo in her potty and came trundling up to stick it under my nose with great pride. DS (3) was behind her assiduously wiping her bum with a tea towel
