I'm fed up of breastfeeding. I really am

It is strange, but I do enjoy it BUT only when I have full breasts.

DS is currently on the boob constantly so they never seem full, or have that let down. It's just like he's using me constantly for a quick suckle and then, when it comes to a bigger feed, for some reason it's quite frustrating for me.

I'm really getting fed up of the whole thing, but I know DS needs it and is happy.

Anyone else? Sad

How old is your ds? It's so hard but it really does get easier! Dd is 11 months now and it's so easy if she's ever fussy or just needs a 2 minute top up.

Your breasts are always filling up even when they don't feel full they have plenty of milk in them. I think we get so used to being engorged in the early days and having that strong let down we assume that thats how they should be. But once the supple is established and everything's in its own rythem they don't need to be feeling so full!

Following as I've tried to look into increasing milk supply for long term breastfeeding and have never found any good tips / success story.

if he's 18 months, he doesn't need it any more, you could start to wean him off. Certainly I went down to only two feeds at day (morning and evening) at about a year, and one feed a day at about 15 months, and stopped at 18 months.
