quick question about fluffles...

Just about to start using size one fluffles on a newborn.

Do you use liners with them or is the inbuilt fleece one enough? They seem so big that with an added fleece liner I don't think she will fit any of her clothes....

Weeeelll, it depends. I mainly don't but if you have a very sticky poo that doesn't just roll off nicely into the loo then you end up cursing your lack of foresight.

If your newborn is bf then maybe try with a liner to see how much it catches. It may not make a lot of difference. I used to hold ds's Fluffles down the loo, swish and flush (holding on very firmly!!!) and then squeeze out the excess water before plonking in the nappy bucket.

shes almost 3 weeks now and just over 8lbs and bf.Going to try the squeeze and flush technique you describe.

They do look huge on her...like her legs are being forced apart a bit.

Apparently that's one of the benefits of cloth though - very good for hip developement!

This is true...and the fact that they look really cute.

Hi,
I used Fluffles on dd from 6 weeks and loved them, soo soft. I didn't use a liner or try to flush the poo down the loo as it just kind of soaked in IYKWIM(she was breastfed)My cousin is a physio how works in peadiatrics & she always recommends parents of children with hip problems use cloth or at least 2 disposables to keep their legs in the correct position for good hip development.

Thanks hippowell...also pleased I can give up on trying to flush/ squelch the poo out- all that happens is that it kinds of rubs into the nappy and makes a smearly mustardy mess.I'll just do a prewash instead. They don't look so big on her now...maybe trying them when she was 7lbs not 8 was a mistake.

They haven't leaked either....yay!
