How do you dress your toddler for bed ?

Forgive me for this post but I am feeling anxious. My toddler spilt his milk down his sleep sack and I can't wash and dry it in time for his bed.

I have dressed him in a long sleeve vest, with fleece pyjamas and socks. He kicks off blankets so that's why I usually use the sleep sacks.

His bedroom is around 19/20 degrees at the moment and will probably drop to 18.

Do you think what I have dressed him in is as sufficient as a sleeping bag ? I can't really find any charts for clothes just the charts for room temp and sleep bags.

Thanks everyone

My toddler hates a sleeping bag, so he has a duvet which invariably gets kicked off. He is currently in a fleece onesie with socks, no vest. I think yours will be fine!

Vest, pjs, socks and a quilt duvet

Mines under a duvet with pjs bottoms and short sleeved top right now.

Pull up and 4 tog duvet.

If he’s cold he’ll cry, there’s no need to worry about it. But a long sleeved vest and fleece pyjamas in a 19 degree room will be plenty warm enough. I just put my toddler in regular pyjamas plus a duvet which sometimes stays on, sometimes it doesn’t.

Thank you everyone

One is currently dressed as a fireman and has his duvet pulled up to his chin.
The other is in PJs with her duvet kicked off.

Mine run hot so just long sleeved vest and cotton pjs. Duvet and socks never stay on very long but not too much complaining!

Lightheart · 24/03/2019 21:31

A health visitor told me if he's cold he will cry or snuggle down into a duvet himself!! X

To add if my LO kicks off her duvet and is cold, she cries and I just go put it back on her

I wouldn't put mine in fleece to sleep unless it was less than 15 degrees in their rooms.

I put mine in cotton jersey PJ's and a 13
Tog duvet (in single bed).
