Flying pregnant with a toddler

Any tips for flying whilst pregnant with a toddler, she's just turned two and I will be 30 weeks pregnant.
Firstly me.. do I need special socks?
It's a 4 hour flight..
Now dd.. snacks? Little games? A tablet?..
This will be her first flight.. were yours ok at this age on a plane?
She hates being in the car but I hope this is different.
TIA x

Think it's advised to wear compression socks in the third trimester. And I'd check with your midwife if you need a note in order to fly as some airline require one.

My LO is younger but I'd take all the snacks with you. And maybe some exciting new (quiet) toys for the flight.

Ask your midwife for elastic compression socks for your flight. She will measure your legs and give you a pair thatarefar more suitable for use during pregnancy than the travel socks on sale in chemists.Put the socks on before you get out of bed in the morning and keep them on until you go to bed after your flight.
Cabin pressure is likely to make your feet swell during the flight, so wear comfortable shoes.
Carry a doctor’s note confirming your due date and to say that you’re fit to fly.
Make sure your travel insurance covers pregnancy-related conditions, just in case something does happen while you're away.
Sit in an aisle seat if you can as it will make it easier to get up and wander around or to get to the toilet quickly! Head to the toilet as soon as you're on the plane, in case it’s kept waiting to take off and you can’t leave your seat.

As toddlers have the attention span of fleas, you'll be lucky to get 5-15 minutes of sustained attention out of a TV show or movie but it's still worth taking an iPad as a quick distraction tool if she gets grizzly!
When my DC was that age, he loved playing a game where we'd stick post-its all over the back of the seat in front of us and he would peel them all off! He also loved sticking post-its on himself and me! Amused him for ages.
Take a small bit of bubblewrap for popping if you have some at home. Pipe cleaners can be taken in hand luggage and are fantastic fun.
Put some snacks in little envelopes for her to tear open. Raisins and Cheerios work well.
I’d take a set of nesting eggs (we got ours from ELC), a pot of play dough, finger puppets, and a ballon to blow up for a game of catch while you’re waiting at the airport.
I've also had success with the Melissa and Doug reusable sticker pads, magnetic shape board, aquadoodle travel mat and lift the flap books.

Pack some extra clothes in your carry-on, for both DD and yourself.
Try and get your DD to suck on something or eat something during take off and landing. sucking and swallowing can ease ear pain.
Flight attendants are normally happy to watch small children while you go to the toilet. Just make sure you don't time it when want to be serving food and drinks.
