Hello - just wondered if anyone can shed any light on this. At 4 years we took our daughter out of night nappies and she was doing brilliantly - had about one accident every two weeks. Then school started and so did bed-wetting. Every day was sheet-washing day - sometimes it was twice in a night. I don't know why - there were no problems at school - she really likes it - loved her teacher/friends etc etc. But it was so knackering doing the washing that in the end we put her back into pull-ups and at 6 1/2 she's still in them. Sometimes she's almost dry - occassionally she's totally dry - and other nights it's like we've gone backwards and they're soaked.
We've tried lifting her in the evening, but she's a very heavy sleeper and is like a rag doll - i have to say her name over and over to get her to get out of bed by herself. Although she is beginning to be a bit more responsive so maybe that's good. But despite lifting, sometimes she still wets afterwards. We've had her checked for urinary tract infections etc but that's all clear.
She doesn't seem to be that bothered - it hasn't got to the stage where her friends make fun of her for it. but I'm slightly at a loss as to what to do.
she's not good about drinking during the day - I'll send her off to school with a full bottle of water, and it's still full at the end of the day - she just forgets. But I've started making her drink a huge glass before she goes off to school and lots when she gets home.
Advice gratefully received. Sorry about length of message.
