10 month old dinner ideas

Hi everyone,

What does everyone feed their LO at lunch time?

My LB is 10 months old and he usually has a jar for dinner and a homemade meal for tea.

I also give him the occasional picnic lunch so a sandwich and fruit and yoghurt. Just wondered if anyone had any other easy ideas for lunch time?

Thanks 😊

Mini wraps with grated cheese or chicken breast with cucumber, tomatoes, pepper, carrots(not all at once) along with some kind of fruit

Omelettes

Cold pasta with cubes of cheese and ham

Cheese and apple on toast and raisins

Bagels

Crumpets

Another vote for omelette. Also

Beans on toast
Pasta with a vegetable and tomato sauce
Spinach and sweet corn fritters
Gnocchi with a sauce
Vegetable risotto
Fish fingers and spaghetti hoops on a Friday

At 10 months firm favourites from my son and still are, jacket potatoes and beans and cheese, tuna and sweetcorn pasta, scrambled eggs with pepper spaghetti Bolognese, cottage pie.
Finger food wise, salmon and potato carrot fish cakes, omelette, boiled egg and toast.

Soup, scrambled egg on whole meal toast, pasta with pesto or cream cheese sauce - add whatever veg your child will eat. Egg fried vegetable rice. Sandwiches and cut up veg/fruit, vegetable fritters (grate carrot, courgette or similar, bind with a bit of egg and flour and pan fry) served with hummus and veg.

Thanks everyone im definitely going to try dome of these, omlette is first on my list tomorrow!!

@Thesearmsofmine Are raisins okay for a 10 month old? I thought they might be a choking hazard?

Im struggling with finger food cause my LB tends to just play with the food and wont put it to his mouth. Biscotti and melty puffs he will gladly feed himself but anything else (sandwich, toast, fruit, cheese) he just plays with.

My DD is now 15 months but her diet hasn't changed much since ten months!

She's not a big eater, some days she hardly eats much, but then the next day she'll make it up. I've had A LOT of trial and error. I wouldn't say she's fussy per se, but there's always some things she eats more than others. She's just not a massive foodie for a baby.

Sweetcorn fritters (these are great cause you can put in any other veg and an egg, so pretty nutritionally balanced)
Pesto pasta
Pea pasta (blended peas made in to a sauce with pasta)
Ratatouille
Roast chicken, broccoli, potatoes and yorkshires (she loves yorkshires)
Beans on toast
Jacket potato (I used to do little hassleback potatoes so she would eat it herself)
