Hi Guys,

Looking for a bit of advice if that's okay. I suffer from anxiety and it has really flared up so I'm trying to put together a sort of routine so we have structure to our days and I feel a little more at ease.
I have so far decided we will go to Rhyme Time on Mondays, Baby group on Thursday, Library and pamper evening on Friday as my self-care has gotten really awful and to the park on Sunday. However, that leaves three days where I haven't got anything put in.

Ideas would be very much appreciated x

Sounds like a good start! Depends what you have nearby, but in the daytime (presumably in between school drop off and pick up?)
An exercise class for you where you can take the baby eg Pilates, yoga, buggy fit
Swimming
Baby cinema
Sort out things in the house day - I'd go room by room taking the baby and some music /radio/tv programme in the background on my phone
Walk
Cafe
Food shopping somewhere you don't normally go

After school: playground, after school activities.

Hope that helps!

Have you got Hoop? That's good for local baby activity ideas.

If there's a soft play in a local leisure centre, there's usually a baby section, so it might be something you could do at the weekend with both? Or just take baby on a weekday?

Any nearby children's centres with activities? They don't often show on Hoop.

Have you got any family nearby? Could you spend a couple of hours visiting them in the week?

How about taking DC2 swimming one morning a week or taking them both after school one evening a week?

It's hard sometimes when you have a big age gap to find activities that they can both do.

Swimming is a good one as long as the 7 year old is reasonably confident and/or sensible.

Softplay

Could you have a regular meet up with friend/family?

Movie afternoon/evening

Lazy day! Stay home and let the kids watch cbeebies etc.

Thank you for your suggestions everyone!

I've drawn up a timetable as such that I'm going to start working from next week which I'm excited about (how sad is that?!)

Tuesday is left free as there is just nothing that I can find to fill that day up with lmao but I'm sure i'll find something if I keep looking.

Unfortunately we don't have any friends or local family x
