Hi,

After our successful AMA with a midwife, next week we have Dr. Chinedu Nwokoro - who has kindly agreed to answer all your questions related to children's health.

He's a member of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, specialising in respiratory conditions; but he's happy to answer any questions you might have on children's health.

What have you always wanted to ask a paediatrician? Things you suspected, but never were sure of? Dr. Chin will answer as many as he can (within reason!)

Just pop your comment or question in this thread and we'll ask Dr. Chin. The video will appear on this thread next week.

(A somewhat obvious disclaimer, but please do not use the video instead of seeing your healthcare professional!)

Hi everyone,

Thank you so much for your questions - so many good ones. Sorry if we didn't get to yours, but I don't think anyone would have wanted a half an hour video!

You should find this thread has been updated with a video embedded into it, where Dr. Chin answers your questions.

App users, you can see the video here

Thanks again for your questions

Should I take DS aged 6 to the GP as he has body odour (pongy pits)? No other signs of growing up, just smells like a teenager. Dr Google (yes, I know) has frightened me but I feel ridiculous taking him to the GP and don't want to make him self conscious. Thanks muchly.

Child is being treated for ‘suspected asthma’ for almost 2 years. She will be 6 shortly and attends dance class. She has been going really red in the face and puffed at dance class. Her face is so red it looks like slapped cheek, she tires really quickly recently and seems unable for exercise, this has been happening for over 3 months, but not beforehand. Montelukaut hasn’t help inhalers have stopped the cough. (Has been taking them almost 2 years). Nurse increased the clenil inhaler yesterday. She also has been complaining of a pain in her left side almost constantly for 2 weeks. Having ruled out constipation/wind. I’m wondering is it asthma or is there something else wrong?? When will she be diagnosed or have tests?
