Dd is 8 months old and is currently teething, I'm a ftm so not sure what to expect or how long it lasts? Atm she's doing just great. Moody here and there but that's expected ( thank the world for bonjelaGrin) any advice? but I was also just wondering if people or anyone could share there routines with me? From when baby gets up to when they go to sleep? When do they have bottles lunch etc? Just curious to know how other mums do things? Thanks x

Hello!
My daughter is 2.5 and just cut her last teeth. However she only struggled with maybe the first 6 or so, didn't even notice the rest!

My baby is 6 months old and teething too!
His routine (roughly):
Awake at 6, milk.
8am solid breakfast
10am milk followed by long nap
12pm solid lunch
2pm milk
3.30/4pm - shorter nap
5pm solid dinner
6pm milk as part of bedtime routine
Asleep by around 6.30pm

Xxx

@Bomato thank you for thatt! How long does teething last do you know? Does it get worse with each one?x

No worries!
I think every baby is different but with my DD it certainly didn't get worse with each one - in fact I think the first couple were probably the worst! I would say she was over the worst symptoms by 1 year old X

@Bomato that's a relief , hopefully dd is the same. As she's only 8 months it must be horrible for them as they don't understand what's going on, makes my heart throb when she does cry sometimes in pain and sometimes bonjela just doesn't work for that long :( x

For teething pain you need anbesol oil (not gel) and nurofen. They can be used together but obviously you only need to give when needed.

DS is also 8 months old and we've finally fallen into some sort of routine -

6am - bf in bed
6.30am - awake for the day
8.30am - breakfast
10am - bf and nap for approx one hour
12pm - lunch
2.30pm - bf and nap for approx one hour
5pm - dinner
6pm - bath
7pm - bed

I'm expecting all this to change as I go back to work in a few weeks and he goes to the childminder. It means he won't be breastfed during the day and will have food and water instead. Also my first day back at work is the day after the clocks go forward so I'm already waving goodbye to this lovely routine we have going!

In regards to teething, I second the anbesol liquid stuff! It works so much better than any gel I've tried. I'm also a ftm and baby is the same age so my experience is similar to yours, but he's cutting his third tooth at the moment (top front) and he seems to be handling it much much better than his bottom two.

I forgot to include the bf he has before bed :)
