Breastfeeding- one breast feels full but the other feels empty

My baby girl is 11 days old. She's been feeding well from both sides but I've realised that whilst my right breast feels full again after feeding, my left breast has felt empty for the last 24hrs or so, maybe more.. She did a lot of cluster feeding yesterday so I put it down to that but this morning my right breast feels hard and full and my left still feels empty and soft. Im also now wondering if she did so much feeding yesterday because she wasn't satisfied with the left side. Does this mean my supply is lower in the left? Can I pump when feeding from the right to try and increase supply? Thanks

I had the same issue as you, it always felt like my left boob was lagging. Turns out it's very common and happens to a lot of mums. I just made sure to offer that boob first and after a few weeks my left boob is no longer the lazy one but the fast one! Just whatever you do, don't stop feeding your little one from your left side!

Thank you. I've been feeding as normal all day and she has been falling asleep after feeding from the left so seems contented with it, feels odd to be so lopsided though lol

It's normal for your breasts to differ.
I've been breastfeeding for 12 weeks now, and my left is the one with a fast flow that gets hard if I miss a feeding.
Right one gets hard as well but nowhere near as lumpy, and the flow is slower.
There's still plenty of milk there though. The hardness and engorgement was an issue in the beginning but at around 8 weeks my breasts started to feel softer and less engorged if I missed a night feed because baby slept through.
Just keep offering both, maybe the softer side first.
