Such thing as a feeding regression?

So my LO is 16 weeks tomorrow and for the past 2 days she's only having half her amount per feed, she's still happy and alert just not really interested in her food. I've been looking on the web and it seems quite a few babies go through this around 4 months old and people call it a feeding regression. Has anyone else experibdced or heard of this? How long should I leave it before it becomes a concern??

Well for one babe doesn't need food until they are 6 months. NHS advise to weight until then that's why babe is refusing bottle filling up on am gathering purées :( should wait until your baby is around 6 months old - this gives them time to develop properly, so they can cope with solid food.

I seriously suggest stopping until babe is 6 months then checking out Blw, as it's cheaper and babe shares meals with you.

Why wait until my baby is around 6 months?
if you’re breastfeeding – this is the best food your baby can have during the first 6 months. Babies who are not breastfed are more likely to get infections
breast milk or infant formula provides the energy and nutrients needed until around 6 months (though breastfeeding women should consider taking a daily vitamin D supplement)
it gives your baby time to develop so they can cope fully with solid foods
your baby is more able to feed themselves
they will be better at moving food around their mouth, chewing and swallowing. This may mean they can have mashed, lumpy and finger foods, and may not need smooth, blended foods at all.

No blending at all with Blw and no ridiculous amounts of money in purees

@user1496701154 I think the OP means milk when she uses the phrase food!

My DD was similar with her feeds around this time as she became really distracted with the world around her. Do you find she feeds better when you're at home, in a quite space? Xx

Yes by food I mean milk. I'm fully aware not to introduce food until she is 6 months, thanks for the advice though.

I've tried feeding her in a quiet room with no distractions and it still doesn't help. Sometimes she's drinking more when she is looking at the tv. Shes just had 180mls and normally she has 200/220 so that was a better feed. I suppose I just need to see how she goes.

I think sometimes they are more or less hungry and it can be teeth, illness or nothing causing it. My baby was like this from time to time and it all went back to normal in a few days.

My DD is the same OP but she has increased night feeds a bit which isn’t ideal!
