an advice gratefully recieved!
ds is 11 mo and is a "good" baby. dh is 35 and i am 33 so we feel it might be best to ttc soon in case of any fertility issues, but mainly because we would have our family complete. It would also get the baby bit over with in one go!
Now, do any of you have kids about 2 yrs apart? How tough is/was it? Can you scare us out of it?!

We have ds1 then 20 months then ds2 then 25 months then ds3.
Small age gap means they play together v nicely and no big jealousy issues.
Bit more work when little but so glad we did.

we had a 25 month age gap. Twas fine (& indeed still is - they are now 3 1/2 and 1 1/2) - I expected it to be eally really hard, and actually, the hardest thing was being pregnant and having a toddler... Ours are now really good mates, and fingers crossed, the age gap will mean they can be good friends when they're older. Maybe.

I was 34 when I had dd - and I was really keen not to leave it too long - although actually we conceieved first sycle - quicker than we had with ds.

Good luck!!

Well I have great parents and in laws.
But it is hard work.
But only for a short time.
DS3 is 11 wks and DS1 off to school in Sep, so I'll only have 3 at home for a short time. And holidays of course.
And it is easier 2nd and 3rd time as you know what you're doing.

i am also lucky to have my mum on hand to help as well as in laws and dh is a teacher so he's around for holidays. oh, dear, you lot were meant to talk me out of this!!

If you feel it's time for number 2, it's time for number 2. (I'm ttc at the mo, ds is 2). I share your view of getting the baby bit over with, even though I have no practical experience of what that would mean! On the other hand, my view is coloured by being the major breadwinner in my house, so I want to get the career-stalling bits of taking time off over with, to be quite honest.
