Toddler diarrhoea??

My son is 2.8 and until recently has had perfectly normal poo. Solid. The last 2 months ish he's had really very wet poo. Should I assume it's the phenomenon 'Toddler Diarrhoea' or investigate further? Any one recently dealt with this? I've found lots of threads on here from YEARS ago but nothing recent. Any advice?
We cut out Weetabix (much to his disappointment), he doesn't drink any fruit juice or milk, only water. He does have a lot of fruity things but he has to eat something. Help?

Fruit can cause the squits. Not sure why you have cut out milk, is he having other calcium rich foods. I would have a word with the health visitor or make a GP appointment.

Oh no, I didn't cut out milk or fruit juice, he just has never really drunk them. He has never drunk milk since giving up breastfeeding a year ago. I know too much fruit could cause squits, but this is more than this - he is pooing 3-6 times a day. It's not like 'illness' diarrhoea, it's just so wet.

DS had this for about 6 months between the ages of 2-3 !!. No other symptoms except very runny poos 4-5 times a week. He didn't go lots of times in a day though. Just that when he did go, it was very very loose/runny

We did get him checked out at the GP but the Childminder didn't believe me that there was nothing wrong with him, despite me telling her what the doctor had said and providing written material to support this. Hmm

She kept calling me to collect DS every time he had a loose stool. After the 4th call to collect him in two weeks and getting hassle from the childminder for continuing to bring her an ill child (more Hmm, Hmm, I collected a stool sample which was tested by the GP (I had to make an appointment to see him first and he asked for the sample)

The tests showed he had nothing wrong and was not in any way contagious . The CM eventually agreed (only after after seeing the actual results)to only call me if DS had 2 very loose stools in the time he was with her. She would accept one loose stool based on the findings of the tests (lucky me). Lo and behold, no more calls to collect DS

I would definitely get it checked out by the GP though, don't just assume it is nothing

I would get him checked out just to rule things out and put your mind at rest. Six times does seem excessive.

Weirdly DS would not drink any milk at all after finishing breastfeeding either (at 2 years old). Not cows milk or formula, no milkshakes or milk on cereal or anything really. As for milk substitutes (oat, almond, rice etc) , he refused all of those as well .

He did have cheese and yoghurt. Maybe that is related but in any case it passed and he was fine after a few months

DP's baby brother has this, he's just turned 3. Cutting out squash worked and anything with unnatural sugar, assume he's allergic to some sort of E number.

DS had this at about 3 no reason for it, so we gave him so probiotic drink and he was fine.
