7month formula question

DD2 is a little chunk, she always has been. We started weaning a month ago, she isn’t consuming much at the moment but we are mainly doing blw so I know that can take a while. However since Christmas she’s been waking for a bottle in the night whereas before she never did that, sometimes she’s even waking twice! First wake up she has 6oz then second wake up she’ll have about 5oz.
Question is really - does she need these bottles now? DD1 stopped waking in the night at quite a young age & she was a lot smaller than DD2.

I would say yes. She is still only 7 months and that is very young.

I would continue to give what she is wanting - her primary food is milk at this age and she'll drop any weight your concerned about when she starts moving more. She's probably going through a growth spurt and is just feeling hungrier.

once she is eating 3 proper meals (all food groups) and snacks a day she will likely cut the bottles out. Milk is still important but food is more important after 6mths. Will still need 500-600mls in 24hrs.

Try getting her to go to sleep on her own (i.e without a bottle) at the beginning of the night if you aren't already. Otherwise when she wakes in the night she will need the same prop ie the bottle.

Thanks everyone, she’s obviously having a growth spurt at the moment just wasnt expecting her to have such a lot in a short space of time especially when DD1 didn’t wake like DD2 at this age.
I never give her a bottle to fall asleep, I hold her & then put her down drowsy & she falls asleep by her self with my hand resting on her tummy.
