Does anyone have these, are they worth it?

Hi, I bought my 10 month old their 12 piece large rainbow for Christmas and it’s amazing! I have a 3 year old as well so it gets a lot of use but still looks new. It was £70 so extortionate but since there is nothing similar elsewhere I’d say it’s worth it. It’s a really nice, well made, colourful and hopefully long lasting toy which also makes your living room look lovely as opposed to all the usual plastic tat clutter that my children are so fond of!

They are expensive but worth it. I’ve not got a rainbow yet because £££ but we have some of the stacking bowls.

Also have a look at Grapat, their stuff is lovely and great quality too. :)

They make some beautiful stuff but the prices are crazy. I'd only ever buy it second had TBH.

They’re lovely toys. My DS has the truck and horse on wheels, he loves pushing them around. It’s not worth buying second hand because they retain 80-90% of their value. Better to buy new and sell on to get most of your money back.

DS also has some Grapat and Raduga Grez toys which are equally nice.

It depends what you mean by 'worth the money' really.

The very vast majority of children would be just as happy, if not happier with some plastic tat. They love a bit of brightly coloured plastic. And it is wipe clean/durable/practical etc. Just as fun to play with, just as educational.

The only difference is as pp said how it looks in your house. If you mean 'is it worth it' in terms of interior design... possibly! Depends on your budget.

Wooden toys are no more valuable to a child than plastic ones.

Thank you am going to see if I can buy second hand

I love wooden toys generally, when our local ethical toy shop closed down the owner offered us some 1/2 price grimms bits, pebbles, wankle sniggers at the name stacking tower, rainbow, friends in cups, balls and a few of the casas. My kids like the pebbles and the friends in cups but to be honest I feel like even at half price I have spent a lot on toys that just look pretty on the shelf. There are loads of other ethical brands out there that do more interesting toys and better prices.

Bold fail there Grin

You don't save much second hand but my two have the big rainbow and it's been a balancing toy, building blocks, a race track, fences for a zoo - you name it.
