New ideal baby feeding Kettle!

So I been on the hunt for formula kettles to help feed my baby at night. I stumbled upon this kettle that is ideal! It boils the water then cools down to any temperature set and keeps it for 24 hours. So 70 degrees is choosable. This saves me from boiling then cooling at 3am in the morning.

Then after mixing with formula i keep a precooled room temp water and add to mixture, my little baby feeds and goes straight back to sleep.

The kettle cost around the same price as a conventional kettle once you add the 10% discount with Amazon. www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07KRH1RSF?tag=mumsnetforum-21 ideal product and price thats definitely not breaking the bank!

The brand is called Uneeqbaby, it seems they also have a website that looks pretty clean but buying on Amazon is cheaper with the promotion.

This is brilliant, I love it.

I used a perfect prep last time but was thinking about how I’d buy a variable temp kettle if I had another one. This is much cheaper than the ones I’ve seen and I love that it keeps the water heated too.

We have this www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/kettles-and-toasters/kettles/TWK8633GB and I set it to 70 if doing one bottle or 80 if doing a few (we did store bottles in the fridge and heat in the microwave though). It can keep the water warm but I don't know for how long, as I say we stored bottles. It was expensive with dd but 5 years later we still have it, it looks like a kettle in our kitchen and it's done well for ds in that time too! We got it on offer, it was £50 if I remember rightly.

Wow that looks amazing. Here is the one we have. Only £30. Only maintains temp for a short time though (half an hour I think).

Sounds great but formula should be mixed with boiling water, not after it is cooled

TitusAndromedom · 17/02/2019 07:31

Forever, the formula should be mixed with 70 degree water. That is hot enough to kill any bacteria. Boiling water can destroy some of the nutrients in the formula. That’s why this kettle is so useful: it keeps the water at the perfect temperature to safely make up a bottle without waiting for the water to boil and cool.

MotherOfDragons2 · 17/02/2019 22:52

Titus is correct. Never mix boiling water into formula. You will destroy essential nutrients your baby needs to help develop.
This kettle is great! 70 degrees any time needed. Such a game changer!

Forever no, it shouldn’t. Boiling water damages the nutrients. 70deg is the optimum temperature.

Lots of kettles do this.

Advertising on MN needs to go through the proper channels..

MotherOfDragons2 · 17/02/2019 23:03

I been searching for ages. Which other kettles keep water temperature at a prefixed set by the user please? I want to do some comparisons

Thanks Titus and Incredibly for the correction

I nearly didn’t click on this thinking it would be a useless gadget I don’t need, but I’m bored and nauseous - and this is a great idea! I’ve never even considered temperature control kettles, but we had a separate kettle last time around (5 years ago) because guidelines said not to use filtered water and I didn’t want to completely scale my regular kettle. I’m now expecting another DC so was thinking about a second kettle again (no idea what we did with the last one!) but something like this would be much more handy.
