I donot know if I am posting on right place or not but I need some advice.
I am level 2 child care practitioner early years. I had my 2nd baby in September 2018. He is now 5 months. I started my maternity leave in September 18. Now as the time getting closer (suppose to go back in September) I am dreading. I think m not yet ready mentally but in mean while wants to earn something. My manager has already asked whats my plan for September as they have temp maternity cover at the moment.
I have thought of starting childcare from home after registering with ofstead but estimated cost os around £500. M already struggling with finances so not in situation to spend £500. any ideas what to do so O start earning but does not have to leave my baby.

P.s. i know this is very common question as most working mums feels same but still any advice please

Do you have any creative skills?

My friend set up a cake business and started out making cupcakes from home and selling locally.

This way you can be as busy as you like, take on orders you can handle to enable you to work round your baby. When your child is old enough he can join in (not the ones your going to sell of course haha)
Would this be something you could do?

Thanks but m not creative 😒

Is the initial £500 something you could put down and set up quickly? What's the estimated timescale for your childcare plan?

It's only February - there still is quite a while to go. Is it possible you'll be feeling more ready to go back by the summer? Or could you manage financially if you reduced hours?

Hmm. Might get ready not too sure. For reducing hours m already part time worker.
