Wet Baby

My four month DD is wet every morning. She sleeps about 12 hours and I don’t want to wake her to change her. Can anyone recommend a nappy that will last while she is asleep? We normally use Nutmeg or Aldi but are currently using Little Angels.
TIA :)

To be honest I'd probably just try and change her halfway through the night. Nappies day 12 hours but they aren't great for that and a quick change is better than a rash

Seline · 09/02/2019 08:35

Can't you change her about 4 hours in? Will she not settle?

I always found Tesco nappies were good for staying dry though

SoyDora · 09/02/2019 08:36

Pampers baby dry always lasted 12 hours for us.

Little angels have a plus (+) option. These are extra absorbent but the same size as the regular ones.

GoodStuffAnnie · 09/02/2019 08:37

You could try doubling up. Put a pull up for a bigger child over the nappy.

I would probably just change her I bet she doesn’t wake up. No need to wipe just put a new nappy on. Maybe put her in pyjamas so easy to change?

Pampers worked best for us, are you sure you are using the right size?

JellycatElfie · 09/02/2019 08:38

You need pampers - they’ll stay as dry as possible

TeddyIsaHe · 09/02/2019 08:40

Are you definitely using the right size? Dd goes all night without being wet when she wakes up. Pampers or Tesco nappies here

Little lamb reusables in bamboo

starfishmummy · 09/02/2019 08:51

She's only 4 months old...you've got to change her during the night. I know some nappies say 12 hours but I've never been able to actually leave my DS in a nappy that long without it leaking.

SoyDora · 09/02/2019 09:11

LordPickle I’ve never changed any of mine overnight past the first couple of weeks. No leaks, no nappy rash...

JasonGideon · 09/02/2019 09:15

It’s only been the last five days. Sorry I didn’t make that clear in my OP. Thanks for all the ideas.

If she's wearing a vest underneath her sleepsuit make sure it's not too snug against the nappy as when full that can cause it to leak. Try the next size vest as a test?

Nothing worse than waking a baby half way through the night esp if sleeping through. As soon as baby was sleeping through we had to make a change from Aldis. Asda’s little angels were awful for us- very leaky- ended up throwing a whole pack away. Tesco’s were okay, but still leaked occasionally. Sainsbury’s have been brilliant for us- used them since about six months and he’s over a year now- not one leak ever! I do think different nappies work for different babies though as somewill say Asda’s are amazing and Sainsbury’s teeeible.

whatsnewchoochoo · 09/02/2019 11:18

Never had to change a pampers nappy in the night, they always last 12 hours

Willow4987 · 09/02/2019 20:37

I’d say try the next size up in Aldi as we haven’t had this problem

When my DS was between sizes I used pampers as they’re sizing is slightly bigger (weight wise) so I found these good to get me through until he was ready for the next Aldi size
