Hello,
Just wondered if there were any recommendations on a good side by side double buggy?

Many thanks Smile

I have the city mini. It's good. Easy to fold and unfold. Not too heavy. Easy to adjust the height of the straps, nice big basket bit have to out things in from the side. Easy to manoeuvre, I had to it with one hand with 2 2 and a half year olds in. I'm a cm so right now my youngest is 6 months and my oldest is 2 and a half. Good big hoods. I've had quite a few doubles and this is the best so far.

Sorry about all the mistakes, my screen is smashed. Hope you can make sense of that!

Depends on your requirements / age of children? Eg will you be folding up regularly for car, will you be going for long walks, so both children still nap?

City mini aaaaalll day long.

We have the City Mini double too. I can still fit my 4 year old in it so it has lasted well. It's very manouverable and easy to fold and therefore to fit in a car. We looked at the Out and About but the seats are more reclined when my 2 both like being very upright. It's also a bit smaller, so depends what age gap you have as to how old a child you'll need to get in it.

Downsides are that it is fairly wide, and it's not the cheapest new - there are loads available in good condition 2nd hand though if price is a concern.

I do loads of walking and don't drive so we got the bugaboo donkey, it looks big but is quite deceptive and I wanted to be able to have the choice of having them both parent facing.

Many thanks all, it will be for a 6mnth old and 2yr old. Wanted to get something for when we go on long days out/walks etc

In that case i would recommend theMountain buggy Duet. It’s expensive but you can get a really decent 2ndhand one. Comfy for both dc that age, amazing wheels for long walks, can manoeuvre with one hand, good basket, easy fold (although still quite large folded). It’s also the slimmest side by side available, which is why I chose it over the city mini, and has fitted everywhere I’ve tried (and I live in London so have squeezed it into some small spaces!)
I also had a Joie twin Aire which was light and folded small, but the wheels were pretty rickety even on pavements and my 6 month baby seemed to hate it as she sort of bounced around in it.

City mini or mountain buggy diet

StuntCroissant · 06/02/2019 20:42

I have a 6month old and 2 yr old. We have the Mountain Buggy Duet and it's been great so far - one of the most (the most?) narrow side-by-sides.

I’ve got an Out and About Nipper and it’s great. Really easy to push and fits in the boot no problem.

Thanks all, much appreciated Smile

The Brittax be agile double is really good and half the price of the others.

I've used my a lot over the last 2.5years and it's served me well. Folds down into one which is good for chucking in the car and getting up quickly. Has great storage underneath and in pockets behind the seats.
