DD is in reception and having her first school friends party in a few weeks. Not many people have RSVP'ed but will send a reminder nearer the time. If they don't respond do I assume they're not coming? Party is in a hall with me making the food: do you feed parents too or just kids? Tia

assume they're not coming but perhaps cater for a couple of extra party bags in case. tea coffee and biscuits/cake goes down well with the adults but I've been to plenty without, so depends on how easy to arrange.

I would assume they aren't coming, but have a few extra party bags (because there will be rude people who just rock up on the day and pretend like that's fine!). You really only need to feed children. I used to always make extra for the parents and no one would touch it. Tea, coffee and biscuits are always appreciated though. Be prepared for a few RSVPs the night before as well.

I recently had my 5 year old daughters party and 3 people didn’t get back to me, one just arrived on the day which threw me off a bit as is already confirmed numbers at the play centre and gone the right amount of party bags/prizes etc. Luckily I had taken a few extra party bags.

So assume they’re not coming but prepare that they might do and take extra party bags etc just in case. I’ve never been to a kids party that served food to adults, unless it was a family gathering.
